Tile Repairs, Regrouting & Reseal in Auckland

Cracked or loose tiles, tired grout, a leaking shower — fixed properly. Big job or small.

Not every tiling job is a full renovation. Sometimes it’s a cracked tile, grout that’s gone grubby and crumbling, or a shower that’s started to leak. Tarara Tiling repairs and refreshes tiling across Auckland — led by Marko, a Croatian master tiler with 15 years’ experience — with the same care we bring to the big jobs, no matter how small the fix.

Cracked & Loose Tile Repairs

A cracked, chipped or drummy (loose-sounding) tile isn’t just a cosmetic problem — it can let water in behind the tile and cause bigger issues over time. We replace damaged tiles, re-bed loose ones and match into the existing tiling as closely as possible, so the repair blends in rather than standing out.

Regrouting & Shower Reseal

Grout and silicone don’t last forever. Over the years grout stains, cracks and washes out, and the silicone around your shower and bath goes mouldy or peels away — both of which let water get where it shouldn’t. We rake out and replace tired grout, and re-silicone (reseal) showers, baths and wet areas, so your bathroom looks fresh again and stays sealed. It’s one of the highest-value, lowest-cost ways to protect and refresh a tiled bathroom.

Leaking Shower? We Find It and Fix It

A leaking shower is one of the most common — and most damaging — tiling problems in Auckland homes. Left alone, it rots framing and spreads into other rooms. We track down where the water’s getting through, whether it’s failed grout and silicone or a waterproofing problem underneath, and fix it properly. As an approved PS3 waterproofing author, we can re-waterproof to the New Zealand Building Code where the leak goes deeper than the surface.

Tile Repair FAQs

Do you take on small tiling jobs and repairs?

Yes — no job is too small. A single cracked tile, a regrout or a shower reseal is just as welcome as a full bathroom, and we bring the same standard to it.

Can you match my existing tiles?

We match as closely as possible from what’s available. Exact matches aren’t always possible with older or discontinued tiles, but we’ll tell you honestly what to expect before we start, and often it’s close enough that the repair blends right in.

How do I know if my shower is leaking?

Common signs are stained or lifting grout, peeling silicone, a musty smell, or damp patches on nearby walls or ceilings below. If you’re seeing any of those, it’s worth getting it looked at before it spreads.

Is regrouting worth it, or should I re-tile?

If the tiles themselves are sound, regrouting and resealing can make a bathroom look years younger for a fraction of the cost of re-tiling. If the waterproofing underneath has failed, a proper fix is the better long-term call. We’ll assess it honestly and tell you which one you actually need.

How long does a regrout or reseal take?

Most regrouting and reseal jobs are a one- to two-day job depending on size and drying times. We’ll give you a realistic timeline with your quote.

Are your repairs guaranteed?

Yes — our repairs are backed by a workmanship guarantee, and we’re fully insured.
